Students celebrated the Lunar New Year, dressing in red and wishing people “Gong hei fat choy!”. Primary children dressed in traditional clothes and learnt about traditions surrounding this festival. Year 7 World Languages students dressed in red and discussed traditions across Asia for the Lunar New Year. Mongolia, Korea, Vietnam, Tibet and, of course, China all celebrate the Lunar New Year in their own unique styles. Year 7s learned that for many this year, the Year of the Ox, is their year!
