House “Avengers” Take on Thanos at Assembly

Secondary students challenged Thanos in the House Assembly.

On Wednesday, the Sports Hall became a sea of blue, green, red and yellow as the whole Secondary School excitedly gathered for the annual spectacular that is the House Assembly.

This year’s theme was The Avengers and the student organisers – Year 12 students who have taken on the roles of Captain and Vice-Captain for their Houses – really showed their super powers by getting the spectators involved and enthused in a series of challenges to win Infinity Stones.  In the ‘Infinity Games’, students from Year 7 to Year 13 were invited on stage to compete in a test of physical strength, show their knowledge in a quiz, work as team in a blindfold obstacle course and finally take on Thanos in a dance battle!

The House Captains and Vice-Captains also led the whole Secondary School in a dance to ‘We’re All In This Together’ – and everyone really was!

At the end of the assembly, Thanos snapped his fingers to defeat the dance challengers and the House Captains told the school that the way to overcome Thanos now is to participate in House events this year and always proudly represent their Houses.  We can’t wait to see this House Spirit throughout the year at Bangkok Patana School!
