Interhouse Sports Resume – Play Ball!

Year 10 play ball in first inter-house sports tournament of the year.

Year 10 inter-house sports resumed with the first tournament of the year – softball! Students were excited to participate in the first inter-house sporting event since the school’s reopening. The House system, through its inter-house activities, provide opportunities for Secondary students to build social relationships whilst developing camaraderie and solidarity.

Year 10 split into their House teams and played a carousel-style softball tournament. A student from Lanta House commented that the games were really fun and successful overall, and that they had a really great time playing together. Each team was made up of around twenty students, and everyone worked together really effectively. Students organised and strategised their plays, sharing tactics on how to win. The competitive atmosphere was a welcome challenge. Students expressed their appreciation for being back to school in-person and for being able to engage in inter-house tournaments once again, especially after such a long period of CSL.
