Lanta Wins Interhouse Longball

Well done House Lanta

The Year 7 House teams took to the field, competing in multiple rounds of Danish Longball. All teams played their best and enjoyed the nice weather, a refreshing change from the intense sunshine typically present at the Sports Complex. In the end, House Lanta took first place, followed by Samui, Phuket and Chang. Well done House Lanta!

Danish Longball is an alternative activity occasionally played in Secondary PE lessons to reinforce sporting skills, teamwork and strategy. This game encourages students to improve their fielding and throwing skills. Secondary students enjoy playing Danish Longball as part of their “choice” PE units, as it is popular participatory game that encourages working together as a team.

Supporting student well-being, the House System creates connections within the wider Secondary community. More House events throughout the remainder of the year will provide students with the opportunity to collect more House points, hopefully leading their House to the final victory!
