Learning in the Outdoor Classroom

Year 9 students were hard at work at our Outdoor Classroom investigating the biodiversity of our very own ‘urban ecosystem’ with Mr Smith. Our Outdoor Classroom is truly one of Bangkok Patana School’s hidden gems. Rarely can you find such a feature within a school campus – a fully functional urban ecosystem with a water feature, a closed canopy rainforest and many sustainable features such as an earthen building, a completely off-grid solar powered electric system and an en-suite classroom. We’ve already had Year 5 use the Outdoor Classroom several times this year and Year 9’s are now coming in droves to measure and document our biodiversity! Our students love the Outdoor Classroom and are very fortunate to have it!
