Practical Work for Year 11s

Practical Work for Year 11s

Year 11 are busy doing practical work in Music and PE.

Year 11s are busy in school doing practical work in GCSE Physical Education and (I)GCSE Music. In Music, they spent time practising with their teachers and then recorded their practical solo performances. Students have been working hard at home to maintain their musical skills and are ready for the next steps!

In Physical Education, they alternated between completing written coursework and the practical activities to support it. They began their day in the Shark Tank and after that, engaged in a vigorous game of Pickleball. Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis and tennis. They also completed some of their physical testing and timing requirements for their course.

Students in Year 11 are glad to be back on campus to engage in this vital practical work in a safe, staggered and controlled opening of school. They are maintaining social distancing protocols and all staff and students submitted their negative ATK results before coming to school.
