Science Week Explodes in Primary

Science Week Explodes in Primary

Curiosity, exploration and some exploding..

It was wonderful to welcome Ruben Meerman-The Surfing Scientist and Ian Stuart, founder of Atomic School, back to Bangkok Patana School on Monday 11th March to start our Science Week with a BANG!

They spent the day in classrooms alongside our children in Nursery, Year 1, Year 4 and Year 6, learning about their understanding of Science, Atomic theory and lots more. Children were building compounds from sticky atoms, investigating elements that exist within the earth’s crust and exploring how elements are made up of a variety of protons, neutrons and electrons.

Primary School was a buzz of scientific thinking, questioning and exploring, which will continue throughout the week. It will be filled with great learning opportunities, parent and student workshops and the ASE conference, where our teachers, Ruben and Ian will be presenting keynotes and delivering workshops to Science educators from across Asia. We just hope the Biology and Physics teachers have good chemistry at the conference!

It is going to be a fantastic week for Super Scientists, in every classroom.
