Senior Studies Students Learn the Value of Reflection

Senior Studies students work together on the “Golf Ball Challenge”

As part of their IB Creativity, Activity and Service programme students learn how to become reflective learners. In order to introduce the students to group reflection, they were asked to undertake the “Golf Ball Challenge”, in which their challenge was to construct a device out of newspaper to catch a golf ball in a limited time period. The students then reflected on this experience using the Gibbs Model of Reflection or Gibbs Reflective Cycle. The new Senior Studies extension proved a perfect space for this collaborative task.
