Stencil Art in Year 9

Stencil Art in Year 9

From Blek Le Rat to Banksy and Shepard Fairey.

Year 9 Art students have been learning about the art of stencilling, inspired by Artists such as Blek Le Rat, Banksy and Shepard Fairey. The students first learnt how to create the stencils and then how to cut them. After that they practised using spray paints to produce the final images.

The inspiration for the theme of the project is Sport and Physical Education. The PE Faculty have challenged the students to create finished artworks, which can be displayed in the public spaces around the PE classrooms.

Keep an eye out next Term for the final artworks on display.
