Students Honour Teachers on Wai Kru Day

Students show their respect and gratitude to their teachers on Wai Kru Day.

Students took time out of their busy day to honour their teachers on Wai Kru Day. Traditionally held near the start of the school year, it is a time when students express their gratitude to their teachers. Students offer flowers, candles and incense sticks on a phan tray to their teachers. Teachers offer guidance for the coming year and blessings for their students’ studies. Students of all backgrounds take part in this ceremony, showing the diverse inclusiveness of the Bangkok Patana community.
