A Week of Exchange, Aspiration and Shared Learning
Preparing for the world outside..
Last week, our community was delighted to host eight scholarship students from across Thailand, all high‑achieving STEM scholars preparing to continue their education at universities overseas. Their visit was designed to offer a first-hand experience of international education while helping them anticipate some of the academic, social and cultural changes that accompany such a significant transition.
Throughout the week, the exchange students joined lessons, worked closely with our Social and Emotional Counsellors, and engaged with our Careers team to explore future pathways. They also immersed themselves in wider school life, taking part in cooking sessions and a range of Sports, Art and Drama activities that highlighted the importance of balance and well-being. Drama was certainly a hit!
Our Year 12 students, and particularly the delegates involved, were exemplary in shaping the programme and supporting our visitors at every step. In many ways, we gained as much as we gave: hearing the scholars’ stories and perspectives reminded us what it means to strive, adapt and lead in STEM across Thailand.
