Dear Parents,

As you may be aware, the recent severe flooding in Hat Yai and the southern regions of Thailand has had a devastating impact on many communities. In response to this crisis, Bangkok Patana School wishes to extend a helping hand to those affected by facilitating a school-wide donation effort.

We are inviting our school community to support flood relief initiatives by contributing monetarily or with dry goods. These donations will be distributed to those most in need in Hat Yai and the surrounding areas.

Donation Details:

  • Monetary Donations: Monetary contributions can be made through our existing payment systems, for secure handling and issuing of receipts.
    • From the Firefly dashboard, go to Services, then to Online payment and then choose Annual Fund Online Donation (https://bpsnet.patana.ac.th/payment/donation/index.asp?FundType=ANF).  Monetary donations of THB 15,000 and above will be tax deductible through our Foundation Board Office. These donations will be used for recovery efforts.
  • Dry Goods:
    • Essential items such as rice, canned food, instant noodles, ready-to-eat meals, UHT milk
    • Towels, batteries, flashlights, diapers (adult and child sizes) and toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.).
    • Medicines such as antibiotic creams, Zema cream, Tonaf cream, mosquito repellent, paracetamol and first aid kits are especially appreciated.
  • Clothing: only new clothing, particularly new undergarments for adults and children.

Please ensure that all goods are non-perishable and in new condition.

Donations can be dropped off at the Front of School and at the Foundation Stage entrance from tomorrow (Thursday) morning. The Foundation Board made a donation yesterday, through the Royal Thai Air Force, of canned food, water, mosquito repellent, herbal balms, rice and blankets. The next delivery of donated items is scheduled for this Friday at 3.00pm and then subsequently early next week, followed by regular deliveries as your donations come in.

Your generosity and support can make a meaningful difference. Together, we can help bring comfort and aid to our fellow citizens in Southern Thailand. Thank you to the PTG for their help in coordinating this effort with the School.

If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us through communications@patana.ac.th

Thank you for your compassion and continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Kulvadee (Dee) Siribhadra
Director of the Foundation Board Office
