‘House-Full’

Costumes, Chaos and House Spirit

The Year 12 House Captains didn’t just organise an assembly, they staged a full-blown spectacle to kick off the House calendar. With a spooky theme and a riot of costumes, the first House Assembly of the year transformed the Sports Hall into a whirlwind of colour and camaraderie.

Each House brought its own flair, with captains dressed as everything from Teletubbies and Ninja Turtles to Disney icons and superheroes. The atmosphere was electric as students from across Year groups joined in games, cheered on their houses and got a taste of what’s to come, especially the much-anticipated House Athletics in December.

“It was brilliant seeing everyone get involved — the costumes, the games, the energy,” said Janya, Samui House Captain. “It reminded us that the House system isn’t just about winning, it’s about bringing people together and having fun. Seeing how engaged and excited everyone was made all the planning feel meaningful. It was a rewarding experience to contribute to something that lifted the school’s spirit and set a positive tone for the rest of the year, especially as we look forward to House Athletics in December.”
