Ukulele Jam in Primary

Ukulele Jam in Primary

Playing a combination of chords and melody, the students wowed the audience..

Last Friday saw a lunchtime outdoor concert featuring a debut performance by the Ukulele ECA Club. Playing a combination of chords and melody, the group wowed the audience with their renditions of Wipeout and Over the Sea. All children in Year 5 and Year 6 learn ukulele within the Primary music curriculum and this ECA offers a great opportunity for those students who wish to take their ukulele playing to the next level.

After the group had performed, it was time for the audience to be the performers in our first Bangkok Patana Ukulele Jam! Open to all Year 5 and Year 6 classes, it was wonderful to see everyone joining in including teachers, playing and singing along to songs such as One Day. Such events not only showcase the musical talents of our students but also foster a sense of community and collaboration. It was a great success and we’re looking forward to celebrating more of our students’ musical achievements at lunchtime events later in the year.
