Congratulations to Junsu (David) Kang on his offers from Imperial College London, University of St Andrews, University of Warwick and KAIST (Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology). David plans to attend KAIST and study Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science.
“I am planning to attend KAIST, because it is the top engineering school in Korea that has an open major system. The university also provides a full scholarship to all undergraduate students. KAIST appealed to me because I wanted to spend my first year in uni exploring my interests and deciding which major I would like to take in the future. KAIST selects 40 Korean students around the world living abroad, and I wanted to be part of it. I am considering pursuing a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, as the development of artificial intelligence in recent years shows its potential application in machine learning.”
“That interest is reflected by my extra-curricular activities at Bangkok Patana. I have participated in the VEX Robotics ECA, and also participated in numerous maths competition such as the World mMathematics championship held in Melbourne (WMC), and the South East Asian Maths Competition (SEAMC).”
