Dear Parents,

This week we would like to start off with some fantastic news! We have just received our exam results for (I)GCSE and our brilliant students have done exceptionally well! This is a tremendous achievement given all the extraordinary challenges they faced over the last two years. It proves just how adaptable, hard-working and diligent this cohort of students are, and we are sure will continue to be, well into the future.

To Be Completed Before School Begins:

As we prepare to start the academic year, it is imperative that all our families complete the new Health and Travel Declaration and the Student Safeguarding Code of Conduct. It asks for important information on your location and time zone if you will not be in Bangkok. Please use this link to complete these forms: https://bpsnet.patana.ac.th/gateway/forms/covid19/parent. You will have to log into the Parents’ Gateway.

Craig White, our Business Director, has been spending lots of time looking at ATKs (Antigen Test Kits) as a way to get staff and students safely back into school. We are looking at a hybrid of the UK and Hong Kong schools’ model of rotational testing of students and staff over a two-week period administered by our nursing team. We remain hopeful that the learning pod model of groups of four students plus a teacher could also work for us in the short term. We will look at this with Secondary students to start.

The Ministry of Education has approved a grant of THB 2,000 for students for this academic year. We anticipate receiving this in September and we will continue to provide our community with updates as they become available.

A friendly reminder that parents/guardians are not permitted on the school campus apart from collecting learning resources (and new families visiting Admissions by appointment only).

As a school, we are mindful that our parent community continues to be challenged in so many ways by the ongoing pandemic. Our focus is to start the term in a positive and caring manner to set our students up for a successful year of learning ahead.

Best wishes,

Senior Leadership Team
