A Blooming Success!
For three consecutive nights, audiences were drawn into the wonderfully weird world of Little Shop of Horrors, this year’s Secondary Musical, and what a ‘growth’ story it turned out to be.
Little Shop of Horrors captivated audiences with its blend of comedy, drama and unforgettable music, culminating in a spectacular Friday finale featuring both of our talented female leads playing Audreys taking to the stage. Their performances, along with a cast that embraced every moment of the show’s dark humour and heart, earned a well-deserved standing ovation.
Special recognition goes to our outstanding leads: Jonah in Year 10 as Seymour, Isobel in Year 12 and Lucy, Year 13 as Audrey, Alison in Year 12 as Audrey II, Nico in Year 12 as Mr Mushnik and Lochlain in Year 12 as the Dentist. The beautiful set and remarkable puppets were created by our talented Art Technician, Khun Rat, while student puppeteer Hope in Year 9 brought the incredible plants to life.
Alongside our sensational performers and brilliant live band, our dedicated student backstage team worked tirelessly to ensure every performance ran smoothly. Special thanks go to Penelope, Year 13 for leading the technical team and Dan, Year 13 for leading the sound.
Under the inspiring artistic direction of Amy Penn, and with the generous support of staff across the school, this was a production of which everyone involved can feel immensely proud.
Whether you came for the laughs, the music or the oversized plant with a very healthy appetite, Little Shop of Horrors was a blooming success from start to finish.
