A Rainforest Sprouts in Year 5
Year 5 are learning about rainforests.
No detail was too small for Year 5 students as they created their own rainforest in the shared area. Working collaboratively, they started out researching rainforests to determine what plants and animals to include. Next, they started construction of the rainforest eco-system. Large and small, the students created waterfalls and trees, mushrooms and insects. No detail was too small, no project too big. Despite taking time out for Residentials, students finished their rainforest. They are learning more about rainforests and the importance of maintaining eco-systems as they study their own rainforest in school.
