Avatars for Year 8
Year 8s create their own avatars in Art.
In Art, Year 8 students learned how to use digital technologies to create avatars, complete with personality. They know that using an avatar in the cyber world is important for identity protection. Although we have all seen the movie Avatar, an avatar is actually a digital re-creation of a person that can be less revealing than a real photograph. Plus, it is a lot of fun to re-create yourself. Students used different apps and programmes to create their avatars. Undoubtedly, making sure it reflected their interests and hobbies was the most fun part of the process and allowed the students to learn more features of the digital tools.
