FOBISIA PE Invitational JAWS Conference

FOBISIA PE Invitational JAWS Conference

An engaging and successful FOBISIA PE Invitational!

Bangkok Patana hosted the FOBISIA PE Invitational JAWS Conference last week, with over 60 PE teachers in attendance from around the region. Starting off with a keynote presentation, live from the UK, by Lee Sullivan, author of Is PE in Crisis?, the conference then continued with a range of practical workshops that took advantage of our facilities on campus. Some of these Teacher-to-Teacher workshops included:

  • Pickleball
  • Zumba
  • Climbing and Traversing
  • Softball and Tee Ball
  • Dance
  • Teaching Games for Understanding

After the morning workshops, participants networked with one another over lunch and then transitioned to round table discussions based on contemporary topics. Some of the roundtable discussions focused on Gender and Inclusion in Sport, with others on extra-curricular activities and international education and academic PE pathways.

Thank you to our Primary and Secondary PE teams who all presented and shared their knowledge at the conference. Conferences like these are an enjoyable and welcome opportunity to showcase Bangkok Patana’s fabulous sports facilities to colleagues around the region, as well as to learn from one another’s unique experiences and perspectives.
