Foundation Stage ask “Who are you?”

Foundation Stage children find out who their favourite characters are.

Foundation Stage children are learning to ask the question “Who are you?” The answers are more than just their names as they took on the personas and dressed up as their favourite characters. As a result, class attendance included Super Mario, a princess, a pirate and many more characters that are not usually in a lesson! The children asked “Who are you” of their teachers as well, and some of them had pirates, cats and other unusual characters for teachers. Learning how to ask questions is more than just asking ‘who’, its learning to organise thoughts and verbalise them in conversation with others. The children had a lot of fun asking ‘who’ questions of each other – and learning the interesting answers!
