Fung Pang, Year 2 Teacher

Welcome Fung Pang, Year 2 Teacher

Fung Pang is from Herfordshire, UK. Her family is from Hong Kong, so she is also fluent in Cantonese. After studying for her English degree at The University of Sunderland, she went on to complete her PGCE at Newcastle University. She taught in Primary Schools across the UK before moving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where she taught at an International School for the past eight years across Key Stage 1 and 2, as well as taking on the role of Head of Year 2. Having heard many compliments about Bangkok Patana, Fung relished in the opportunity to join the team of inspiring, committed teachers. She loves the family-community setting that is so strong here on campus, as well as our state-of-the-art facilities.

Through teaching, Fung said she enjoys the creative aspect of helping students to further develop their imaginations and to bring something to life. As her personal passion is art, she loves encouraging her students to draw, paint and collage during lessons, helping to incorporate the visual side of learning, as well as the freedom of expression. Through her initial year on campus, Fung aims to build her rapport with her students and the Bangkok Patana community, in addition to collaborating further with her teacher colleagues. Outside of the classroom, she loves to travel and explore new countries and she enjoys cooking and seeking out new restaurants and cafes. In Malaysia she participated in trail runs, including some fun experiences in the jungle! She is hoping to start running again soon, combining this with further exploration of her new home, Bangkok.
