Mathematics Challenges in Year 4
Year 4 enjoy mathematical challenges learning place values.
Year 4 are tackling a variety of mathematical challenges. They started with place value knowledge and then moved on to ordering and comparing 4-digit numbers. The children found that mathematics can be fun when they played a great game with dice. Two students faced off to try and make the biggest or smallest number by using their place value knowledge and tactics. The students found that the biggest win was in getting it right!
