New Learning Features in the Outdoor Classroom!
The Outdoor Classroom has a Grand Opening!
You may be wondering how it could be the grand opening for the Outdoor Classroom when it has been in full use for the past three years. Well, this grand opening was the day we invited our school administrators and board members to see the fruits of nearly three years’ worth of investment and hard work.
During our grand opening, our administration and board members were guided through the Outdoor Classroom to see all of the amazing learning features that have been added. These features include: a fully functional earthen building that is completely off grid and powered by a very impressive solar array; a nature trail outfitted with over 30 educational signs that complement our curricula for every Year group; a fully equipped field studies centre with the most up-to-date high tech and low tech equipment needed to run a state of the art field studies program, and a chicken coop with two chickens!
