Outdoor Classroom, Back in Action!
Observation and inspiration
Students are already venturing to the Outdoor Classroom with teachers making the most of the term ahead by booking lessons in this fantastic green space. Year 10 English students visited the Outdoor Classroom to find inspiration from nature for their upcoming writing assignments and Year 9 Biology students will visit soon to investigate the biotic and abiotic features of our in-house urban ecosystem. Our young explorers will also learn how to humanely collect biological specimens and document them in the form of biological drawings.
Students in both Primary and Secondary love their expeditions to the Outdoor Classroom. It is fabulous to have a closed canopy forest right on our campus, just a short walk away from their classrooms. No matter how many times they visit, there is always something new to learn and observe!
