Patana Pathways – Nozomu Ikeda
Join us in celebrating Grad’23 Patana Pathways!
Having received an Early Decision to attend New York University studying Liberal Studies, Nozomu Ikeda is looking forward to the campus atmosphere and its unique setting in the middle of a major city. Initially interested in pursuing English Literature, Nozomu feels as though his future is “open to far more possibilities” through the pursuit of Liberal Studies. At Bangkok Patana, Nozomu’s English Literature courses in both the (I)GCSE and IB programmes exposed him to “countless new text types and literature that [he] would have otherwise never have come into contact with”. Peer discussions of the texts they read together in class provided Nozomu with “fresh insights into different interpretations”, which he credits as a “very enjoyable experience of discovery”.
In Nozomu’s four years at Bangkok Patana, his favourite memory is participating in Sports Days with his friends. As he enjoys bouldering, football, reading and games, Nozoumu expressed that he will miss the extensive facilities on campus. Upon embarking on his Patana Pathway, Nozoumu is confident that NYU will provide him with many new experiences, which will further influence his future career goals. Congratulations, Nozomu!
