Pre-IB Visual Arts Show

Pre-IB Visual Arts Show

Join us in following along the ‘Art Trail’…

The Year 13 IB Pre-IB Visual Arts Show was a fantastic opportunity to share the current work of our student artists. The Show also served as an important learning experience for the students as they continue to build towards their final show, and the culmination of the course, in March 2023. In line with IB course developments, students were encouraged to consider the context and location of their work. Therefore, the show ran as an ‘Art Trail’, with students’ work on display in different locations in and around the Arts Centre on our beautiful campus. Each student showed at least four pieces of artwork and in order for the audience to find all of the artists, they were provided with an Art Trail map. It was a wonderful evening filled with conversation about the work on show, amongst a wide range of different environments.

A few of the student artists have shared reflections on the Pre-IB Visual Arts Show experience:

“It was a great opportunity for us to talk about our passions” – Paksran (Lala) Asavareongchai

“The change of location was a very refreshing experience as the conversations with others felt more personal and engaging. Overall this experience was very memorable” – Nichole Mak

“Being in an space different from the usual exhibition area gave me the opportunity to control the atmosphere to compliment my body of work” – Catherine Tantapakul
