Primary FOBISIA Maths Challenge

A group of Primary students recently participated in the FOBISIA Mathematics 2023 Challenge, in competition with 25 other schools. The first day included two events: The Maths Mastermind and the Maths Amazing Race. In Maths Mastermind, the students were prompted to arrive at a specified number by using four provided numbers and any operation of their choice. The Maths Amazing Race asked the team to progress through four different stations inside the Kid’s Discovery Museum, competing for the quickest time.

The second day included an individual paper test, a virtual escape room and a live buzzer round. Our Primary students expressed that they competed hard in the buzzer round, being beaten only by timing! Overall, the students worked extremely hard and are proud to have placed within the Top 10 out of the 25 participating schools. While it was a challenging experience, our Primary students tried their best and maintained their team integrity throughout.
