Primary Tigers Win the Weekend

Primary Tigers Win the Weekend

Primary Tigers had an exciting weekend, in Touch Rugby and Badminton…

Over the weekend, our Primary Tigers returned to sport competitions, and what a weekend it was! With both Badminton and Co-ed Touch Rugby on the agenda, our Under 11 players were out in force. Bangkok Patana hosted the Co-ed Touch games, with the ever-passionate rugby coaching crew, including Mr Tatam, Mr Lewis and Mr Morrison, leading our players out to the pitch. With local rivals NIST and ISB in attendance, our players gained more experience with Touch Rugby and played two closely fought matches. Throughout the games, lovely spirits and excellent teamwork were on show. Touch Rugby is a great example of a team sport, requiring players to communicate, collaborate and work together in a line to minimise space. Our A Team did so well, in fact, that they won the overall competition! Wow!

Mrs Blundell and Miss Edmonds led our first adventure in Primary Badminton at NIST this past weekend. As a new sport offering in the Primary School, we are excited to have found an enthusiastic group of students who truly love the sport. Team-play Badminton is all about doing your best to win ‘rubbers’ against the equivalent seed team. Our Boys’ and Girls’ teams showed incredible resilience in every match and had a fantastic time!

We can’t wait for Season 4 sport to get underway, as it kicks off today! We hope to see as many of our students as possible pulling on the Tigers kits and having fun – Go Tigers!
