Secondary Students Share their Language in Foundation Stage

Secondary students are eager to share their language skills with children in Foundation Stage

Home Languages in Foundation Stage has a great initiative allowing Secondary students to go to the Foundation Stage to support children in their home language. As native speakers, the Secondary students play, read and interact with children who share the same linguistic heritage and culture. We use these experiences to show our youngest learners that their language and their home lives are special and valued at Bangkok Patana. More importantly, having a ‘bigger’ young person to connect with and relate to empowers children who may be struggling to find their place. Many Key Stage 4 and Senior Studies students came to the introductory meeting to learn more. They are looking forward to another year of sharing learning!
