Dear Parents,
Last week we were very hopeful that today’s letter would be full of good news on welcoming students back on campus. Unfortunately, we have not yet been given a start date. The government is still working through the final preparations for reopening schools. We continue to work closely with relevant government authorities to ensure we are on top of all the latest health and safety requirements, and that our reopening is safe, staggered and controlled. Our intention is to send a detailed plan for reopening as soon as we get approval from the government.
Last week we shared some details of our school reopening plan. You can review them in last week’s letter also accessible here.
ACTION ITEMS
- For those parents whose child(ren) were three years or older and fully enrolled by 6th August 2021, you should have received a letter regarding a THB 2,000 rebate per child from the government. The last day to complete this is tomorrow 17th September. If you did not receive this letter, please contact businessdirector@patana.ac.th.
- Before students start their first day on campus, parents must procure and administer an ATK test for their child (ren), and send a negative result to the school nurse. These ATK test kits are easily available from your local pharmacy. If you wish to purchase these from school, through the PTG Tiger Shop, please email ptg@patana.ac.th.
- If you still haven’t done so, please complete the Health and Travel Declaration form HERE. This form is a pre-requisite for school campus re-entry.
We are pleased to confirm that all students between 12 and 17 years, who filled out the vaccine registration form and have underlying health issues, received their first vaccination this week. We are working closely with the MOE (Ministry of Education) and hospitals to procure vaccines for all the other students who registered. If you have not yet registered eligible children, you can email vaccines@patana.ac.th before noon tomorrow, 17th September.
Our PTG (Parent Teachers’ Group) held their AGM earlier this week. A big thank you to the outgoing committee members for your ongoing support and dedication to the school. We have a good mix of new and experienced members on the incoming committee, and we’d like to welcome all of them. You can view the list of new PTG Committee members on the PTG Firefly pages here.
Students have been working diligently on their CSL lessons since the start of Term 1 and deserve a nice break from screen time this long weekend.
