Senior Leadership Update – 19th November 2021

Vaccine Survey for Secondary parents, updated guidelines and COVID webinar link.

Dear Parents, As predicted, the school is experiencing the occasional positive COVID-19 case and our school protocols are working well and are continually being fine-tuned.

At this time, we ask all Secondary parents to complete this short COVID vaccination survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/covvacsur for each of your children. The deadline to complete the survey is Monday 22nd November. With this information, we can follow the latest guidelines from the health authorities as to how long your child will need to quarantine, depending on their vaccination status,  should they be a high risk contact. The latest guidelines state:

  • High Risk Contact
    • Vaccinated – quarantine 10 days
    • Unvaccinated – quarantine 14 days

We have updated our school guidelines to reflect this change. You can view the document here

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has developed an online questionnaire that you can use as an option to evaluate your risk of being COVID positive. It is easy to use and can be accessed as often as you wish. Here is the link: https://savethai.anamai.moph.go.th/poll.php

On Wednesday, two infectious disease experts, Professor Nick Day and Professor Sir Nick White, from the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Research Unit presented on COVID and answered questions from parents through an online webinar. The information they provided was excellent. You can access the recording here. Response from parents was very positive:

A personal note of thanks for that hugely valuable, informative and as you said, entertaining presentation from the professors. We are so incredibly lucky to have been given that opportunity.”

An hour of absorbing expertisesharing, breaking down the myths of COVID-19.”

Very informative and reassuring. My take-away was that I should get the flu jab!”

We thank you, Secondary parents, for your time in completing the vaccination survey. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend!

Best wishes,

The Senior Leadership Team
