Senior Leadership Update 4th October 2021
Latest update from Senior Leadership
Dear Parents,
We are pleased to inform you that the school has been given special permission to allow our two external-exam Year groups to come onto campus and participate in specific, essential exam components.
The first group we will be inviting in will be Year 13, who will be able to come onto campus on Wednesday 6th October for three days to partake in their compulsory Group 4 IA coursework. Students will be in practical bubbles working in their labs for the three days, and all students and staff will be required to take an ATK test before participating.
Over the coming months, there are several other Year 13 and Year 11 exam projects that will also take place. These may be whole Year group or smaller group activities. Our Secondary Principal, Mr. Matt Seddon, will be in contact with families to confirm the requirements for attending these workshops so that the students can work on their projects in a safe learning environment.
The above plan is not a school reopening exercise, it is a specific targeted approval for exam groups only. We continue to liaise with all government departments to confirm a campus reopening schedule.
We are delighted to confirm that today, nearly 500 Bangkok Patana Secondary students received their first vaccination. Our Patana staff who originally received two Sinovac vaccinations have been able to receive an AstraZeneca booster over the last week. We cannot add any names to this list of students who registered earlier in September. However, if you would like to pre-register your child(ren) for the next round, please complete THIS form.
As always, we will keep you informed of any new updates as they come in. We are very much looking forward to having a small group of students back on campus on Wednesday.
Best wishes,
Senior Leadership Team
