Senior Leadership Update – 5th November 2021

Student ATK testing weekly, all students in school on Monday!

Greetings Everyone,

It has been wonderful having most of our students back on campus this week – the atmosphere has been upbeat and joyous as students reconnected with their friends and teachers. On Monday, we have all our students back on campus for the very first time in six months. Do expect some travel disruptions on Monday morning as we are expecting some local Thai schools to be reopening their campuses as well.

Earlier this week, we had a positive case in Primary School and this is to be expected given that there are active cases in the wider community. Please be assured that our school continues to be a safe environment as we monitor and maintain all the safety measures outlined in our reopening plan. The situation we are dealing with currently is fluid and therefore we will continue to fine-tune our safety protocols, in alignment with changing government regulations. We would like to share the revised version with you – please take the time to look through this carefully.

Furthermore, in response to feedback from the community, we have introduced mandatory weekly ATK testing for students. This is in addition to random sampling. All students across campus need to have an ATK test this weekend. The test must be done between Friday 5th November at 7.30 am and Sunday 7th November at 4.30 pm.  ATK results must be uploaded here before 5.00 pm on Sunday to allow access onto campus on Monday morning.

We are delighted that on Monday 8th November, we will welcome back students in Years 1, 3, 5, 9 and 10. Class teachers and tutors will have been in touch to discuss the practicalities of return and do not hesitate to be in touch if you have any final queries or to advise if your child is not planning on returning to campus. As a final reminder, parents from these cohorts should complete and/or update the Health and Travel Declaration form for yourself and your child(ren).

Please DO NOT send your children to school if you have not uploaded the test results.

It was great to see all the colours of International Day being presented this morning and across the classes students were provided with ample opportunity to consider our core values of global citizenship which makes Bangkok Patana so special.  As a community, we are stronger and better together and we certainly all look forward to all the students being together again on Monday.

Enjoy your weekend!

Best wishes, Senior Leadership Team
