Senior Leadership Update – Changes to COVID Plan

Senior Leadership Update – Changes to COVID Plan

Updates to our community COVID Support Plan

11th November 2021

Dear Parents,

As we come to the close of our first week of welcoming all our Year groups back into school, we continue adapting our safety requirements to changing government measures and dealing with isolated positive COVID cases on campus.

The latest updates we have from the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority safety requirements include;

  1. If there is one confirmed case in a class, then that class must stay at home for three consecutive days;
  2. If there is more than one confirmed case in a Year group, then the whole Year group must stay at home for three consecutive days;
  3. High risk contacts (staff and students) must undergo a 14-day quarantine period;
  4. Upon any confirmed COVID case, intensive cleaning of learning spaces and offices takes place.

CSL learning will be provided for any students at home due to COVID requirements.

Please carefully read this document that details all of the protocols. A reminder to test your child and submit your child’s ATK results before Sunday 14th November at 5 pm.

We are enjoying seeing most of our students on campus. We are aware that there are still a small number of students in Thailand or overseas who have not yet returned to campus. If your child is one of these, please contact your child’s class teacher/tutor to confirm their return date.

Finally, today is Remembrance Day, a sombre remembrance to people who selflessly made the ultimate sacrifice. Something to remember as we work together to deal with our current COVID battle.

UPDATE: As we keep abreast of the consequences of schools throughout Bangkok opening, we would like to let you know that we have increased our testing requirements for staff. Effective immediately all staff are required to complete an ATK test weekly and must deliver a negative result before they are allowed to enter the campus. Our teams see this change in protocol as a positive move in terms of both their ongoing efforts in COVID prevention and as supportive members of the school community.

We hope our students enjoy their weekend after being back on campus for a full week.

Best wishes,

Senior Leadership Team
