Sharing Learning Through 3-Way Conferences

Sharing Learning Through 3-Way Conferences

Students in Years 2-6 have been in three way conferences with their parents and teachers.

Students in Primary had the opportunity to share their learning with their parents last week in 3–Way Conferences. The format of these is much different than traditional parent-teacher meeteings.

The 3-Way Conference is student-led. Each child leads their parents through the learning by showing examples of their work and discussion areas of success and areas where they want to improve. While some children were nervous, most enjoyed telling their parents all about their activities. It is an excellent opportunity for parents to experience their child articulate what and how they have been learning. As one parent pointed out, seeing their child’s confidence and excitement about their school work was very encouraging.
