Sketching in the Outdoor Classroom

Year 6 are in the Outdoor Classroom studying organisms and sketching them

Students in Year 6 took pencil and paper with them to the Outdoor Classroom, well prepared for some sketching. As part of their new unit of learning, Back to Nature, students are closely examining the nature around them. They sketched plants and animals, insects and the landscape. Focusing to capture details in their sketches, allows the students to study the organisms closely and really understand their functions and movements. Year 6 will be expanding this learning to an even smaller realm as they will turn their eyes and talents to microorganisms later on.
