Loy Krathong

Loy Krathong

Loy loy loy Krathong

Primary School students marked Loy Krathong with a gentle and heartfelt celebration. The day was observed with quiet reverence, as students crafted their own krathongs using eco-friendly materials like banana blossoms and dok kae flowers, while our youngest learners enjoyed traditional Thai games such as ma-gaan-gluay and mon-son-pa. The thoughtfully decorated kratongs were floated on the school’s Reflecting Pool, in a symbolic gesture of respect to the water goddess, Phra Mae Khongka and to offer wishes for the year ahead.

Even our Secondary students joined in from their residential trips, Year 7 floated their krathongs at the beach, Year 8 along the Khwae Noi River, and Year 9 under the full moon on a serene lake.
