Back to School, Parent Edition

It is not every day that parents find themselves sitting in Primary classrooms, listening attentively to the teachers! Last week, families from Years 1 to 6 were welcomed into school for an introduction to the Primary curriculum and an overview of what to expect in the year ahead. Parents met their child’s teachers, and were given a description of the classroom environment, so they could gaine a better understanding of their child’s learning journey. Across the Primary School, teachers covered a wide range of topics, including daily routines, what students need to bring to school, birthday celebrations, Residential Visits and upcoming units of study. For a brief time they had the chance to experience school from their children’s perspective, quite literally taking a seat at the table!
