Congratulations to Lyela Malik on her offers from the University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, McGill University, Queen’s University and Carleton University, all with scholarships. She also received offers from the University of St Andrews, Trinity College Dublin and The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She hopes to attend The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) to study medicine.
“I plan to study medicine at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland as I’ve always been keen on helping others any chance I could get. Also, the profession suits both my altruistic nature and also my passion for the sciences. I applied to RCSI because I felt the medical programme was best suited to me as it involved clinical experience from Day One.”
“At school I was involved with RISE (supporting disadvantaged children at the Place of Grace), CancerCare (Pakistan’s first free of cost hospital) and enjoyed boxing and painting!”
