University Offers: Grad’21

Reese Williams, University of Calgary

Congratulations to Reese Williams on her offers from the University of Cardiff, University of Nottingham, Royal Holloway – University of London, University of Kent, University of Calgary, University of Toronto and the University of Alberta. She plans to study Psychology at the University of Calgary.

“I am hoping to attend the University of Calgary because the facilities are amazing, and they offer plenty of support to their international students who are moving away from home for the first time. Additionally, from my research I have discovered that the University of Calgary is  located in the heart of the city of Calgary so I will be moving from one city to another and the change will come on gradually.”

“I have wanted to live in London ever since I was young because it seemed so different from the USA, so that was my main goal for University. But once I entered Year 12 and really started researching seriously, I realised that I should be more open-minded about other universities that might fit my needs better. A friend of mine suggested I look into Canada because it is similar to the US but also completely different, so I applied to schools there too.”

“I think that the human brain is so fascinating and the way it works intrigues me. I enjoy reading about psychology and I enjoy science so I am going to get my Bachelor’s in Psychology. I hope to continue my studies and obtain a doctorate.”

“As a theatre student I am very involved in the arts and I have been a part of every production that’s been held since I have been at Bangkok Patana. I am also in the Senior Choir as a soprano, and I have participated in many performances. For my CAS project I wrote a magazine about being a third culture kid in an international school and I linked that to the race riots that were happening at the time in the USA.”
