Year 11s Gain Insight into IB Programme

Year 11s gained valuable insights from Year 13s.

Students in Year 11 met with Year 13s to gain insight into their upcoming IB programme, as the older students offered their advice across the subjects. The Year 11s were positive about the experience with many noting it was good to hear from those who had gone through it already.

The students reflected on the process:

“It helped me in trying to decide if I should go down a certain pathway or should I do something else.”

“I was looking for advice on how to pick my subjects between HL and SL subjects. It really helped to speak to some someone who has done this before.”

Year 11 Student

“When I received advice in Year 11 it really helped me a lot as it gave me direction, [such as knowing that] if I didn’t do the subject for the (I)GCSE then can I do it for the IB programme.”

Year 13 Student

“Many Year 11s asked me where I was planning on going to university and what subjects I had taken for that.”
