Year 4 Heads to the Rooftops

Year 4 Students learned about solar power and its benefits to the environment.

Year 4 students were excited to visit the roof of the Science Centre in Secondary School to see how real life solar panels work and to learn about how they benefit the school and the environment. The students climbed the many steps to the rooftop where it was rather bright and sunny. To protect the children’s eyes, they wore rather, cool looking sunglasses.

The children counted the solar panels and looked at the different buildings that drew their power from the panels.  They came up with many uses and all agreed that solar panels are a great step forward in looking after our environment.
