Year 4 Test Their Atomic Theory

Year 4 are testing their Atomic Theory learning in the classroom.

Year 4 are using their Atomic Theory learning to expand their knowledge of molecules and test chemical reactions. First, they looked at the periodic table to learn about the different atoms and how to build molecules from them. Then they played with their ‘sticky atoms’ to build molecules and study different compounds. Students did very colourful experiments with food colouring, baking soda and vinegar. They had lots of fun learning about the chemical reactions their compounds could create!
