Year 7 Study Biodiversity in the Outdoor Classroom

Year 7 are learning first-hand about biodiversity.

Year 7 students are learning about biodiversity at the Outdoor Classroom. As part of their Environmental Science unit, they are studying basic ecology and biodiversity. They certainly found it in the Outdoor Classroom! One student was surprised to find a catfish in his net! After checking out the catfish (and returning it to the pond) they also learned about the other forms of life in the pond. Our on-campus Outdoor Classroom gives students a greater understanding of the natural world around them. Students observe, first-hand, species interactions and their abiotic environment. From algae to catfish, Year 7 are finding that the Outdoor Classroom is full of diverse lifeforms.
