Celebrating Patana Pride Day

Celebrating Patana Pride Day

Celebrate your pride with Spectrum Club!

Bangkok Patana students and staff celebrated Patana Pride Day to create visibility and show support for the LGBTQIA+ community. Students showed off their colourful attire while posing with friends at a photo booth in the Secondary Lounge. Meanwhile in The Hub, meaningful discussions on how to be an ally and how to create safe places for the LGBTQIA+ community were held, along with activities such as painting and listening to music.

Today’s Patana Pride celebration was organised and hosted by the students of Spectrum Club, which meets weekly. Spectrum Club members serve as advocates and allies for the LGBTQIA+ community, both within Bangkok Patana and beyond. The group welcomes students of all identities and frequently presents to their peers and teachers on how to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment at school. The Spectrum Club hopes that Patana Pride Day encouraged students to reflect on the value of diversity within their communities.
