The Dance Academy recently hosted their annual dance showcase, the Dance Extravaganza, with a total of 33 dance performances by 130 dancers across the Primary and Secondary schools! Students were thrilled to finally perform on stage, in costume, to a full audience after two years of COVID cancellations. The Under 11 team from Key Stage 2 performed brilliantly in both Hip Hop and Contemporary choreography, in addition to other performances in K-Pop, Cheerleading, Solos and Duos. One standout piece relayed a message about “Hip Hop Feminism”, addressing issues with the male-dominated Hip Hop music industry. A surprise Salsa-Latin Fusion piece was also performed by an amazing group of our staff to conclude the show.
Our Bangkok Patana dancers felt very appreciated from their parents and family members, many of whom presented their dancers with flowers to thank them for their wonderful performances. With overwhelmingly positive feedback, we are excitedly looking forward to next year’s event!
