Dancers Light Up the Stage!
Students showed off their Year-long learning at the Dance Extravaganza shows.
This year, we launched the new-look Dance Extravaganza incorporating two shows instead of one to sure we had space for a growing audience and to make sure the show was not too long for the very youngest performers.
The Junior Dance Extravaganza featured 23 acts from the Primary School including Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre and even Polynesian Dance. Our fantastic MC’s from the Drama ECAs kept the audience entertained between acts with self-assured public speaking skills and corny jokes too! The confidence of our students shone through as they strutted their stuff and shared their learning throughout the year of Dance. A feature every year is the Staff Dance, and this year the Primary teachers performed in aid of the World Food Programme.
The Senior show had our selective Dance Company setting the scene with stunning opening and closing numbers, showing the exciting talent we have coming through the school. The Senior show featured 20 acts from Secondary students and staff including several very impressive solos and duos. The hard work, passion and perseverance the students and their teachers had put in were very clear. The Secondary Teachers, not to be outdone by their Primary counterparts put on a great show and also raised much-needed funds, this time in aid of animal rescue focused CAT Club – Noah’s Ark.
A huge thank you to the Dance and Drama Academy staff (Miss Tammy, Mr Siya, Khun Sugus, Khun Mux, Khun Ari and Khun Foii), the Sports and Activities team, the Business staff teams, our staff volunteers and wonderful parent volunteers for helping make these special events happen.
Thank you to all the parents who attended, you were a fantastic and enthusiastic audience, thank you also to those of you who supported our CAT Clubs we raised over 15,000THB for charity.
