Dear Parents,

We are still getting over our disappointment at not being able to open school this week, but our teachers are putting their full efforts into delivering our CSL programme and your feedback continues to be positive. We intend to conduct one final CSL survey this term; we will send out details on Monday 8th June.

In preparation for a possible school reopening before the end of Term 3, if you have not yet completed the Health and Travel Declaration and the Code of Conduct, please do so as soon as possible: Here is the link to fill in the forms. We thank the 80% of you who have already diligently completed these task requirements. Please note that if your health or travel plans change, you will need to complete the Health and Travel Declaration form again.

A reminder that Term 3 will conclude on Friday 26th June for the summer holidays. We plan to reopen on Wednesday 19th August as per our 2020/21 calendar. We will communicate with you in mid to late July on which model for reopening the school is able to follow based on government guidelines.

As the Thai Government continues its plan of easing restrictions due to continued low COVID-19 numbers, we hope that you continue to be mindful of all of the social distancing and safety requirements which are ongoing during this pandemic. I’d like to share an article with you on the importance of these measures:

Social distancing and masks reduce risk of getting Covid-19

I continue to be incredibly impressed with our Bangkok Patana School community in terms of our resilience and commitment in dealing with this challenging global pandemic and our unequivocal support for our students. I will, of course, keep you informed as soon as we hear any positive news relating to the possibility of school reopening.

Best wishes,

Matt Mills
Head of School
