Lanta Takes the House Sports Day Title

Secondary students competed in various activities as part of House Sports Day.

On a wonderful Bangkok winter day, the spirit of friendly competition came alive at the Sports Complex for Secondary House Athletics. Students participated in a wide range of track and field events, cheered on their housemates and hopefully learnt valuable lessons in being a good sport and preparation. In addition to the traditional athletic events, there were many alternative events for the students. Students enjoyed scoring points in the Farmers Carry, Football Shootout, Target Throw, Tug of War and everyone’s favourite – the Dunk Tank!!

Sports Day is held at this time of year when the weather is coolest and everyone is in the festive spirit. Students wore Christmas hats and serenaded the crowds, while DJs and emcees kept the atmosphere lively.

Sports Day saw 27 school records broken and Lanta took the title.

1st – Lanta            2nd – Chang              3rd  – Samui               4th – Phuket

A massive thank you to the Sports and Activities Department, the groundskeepers, housekeeping, PE department and Heads of Houses for all their help organising the day.  Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the PE Team.
